John Young
John Young: Inducted into the Leduc Sports Hall of Fame
John Young was inducted along with former NHL player Zarley Zalapski in the Leduc Sports Hall of Fame on October 22, 2016.
Highlights:
- started with the Edmonton Maple Leafs
- made the New York Rangers' training camp in 1953
- Lacombe Rockets for 9 years
- participated 27 times in the Snoopy (Charles M. Schulz) Senior Hockey Tournament in California
- Central Hockey League records include 301 goals, 396 assists and 697 regular season points
