History

Starting the Team
- 1987 Hugh MacAuley asked arena staff it he could take his stick out during a skating group session in the old Parksville Arena. Others soon joined him.
- In 1990, three (Roy Weber, Howie Meeker and George Macpherson) of the skater group played as a line for Coquitlam in the first Victoria Playmakers Tournament.
- In 1991 Eddie Bird suggested the team name be Parksville Panters. Roy Reber modified this to Parksville Panters.
Early Tournament Participation
- In 1992, Parksville Panters entered a team in to the Victoria Playmakers tournament.
- In 1993, Parksville Panters entered 2 teams in to the Victoria Playmakers tournament.
Parksville Classic
- In 1992, Eddie Bird received special event designation to conduct an annual Seniors Classic Hockey during the first week of September in the Parksville Arena.
- Parksville Classic I (1993) . The coordinating committee was Peter Kucey, Howie Meeker, Chuck Chestnut and Eddie Bird.
