Code of Conduct

Be Respectful & Courteous to rink staff, Vintage Alumni & guests, members,

playing or volunteering. Vintage is no place for harsh criticism or excessive

coaching.

Model Good Sportsmanship We are all here to continue playing as we age.

Have a good skate, enjoy the camaraderie on the ice, in the dressing rooms and

in our Social Gardens.

Play Fair Hooking, slashing, elbowing, holding, tripping, interference, or any other

‘penalty’ infraction are NOT acceptable.

Play Safe Members do not expect to be HIT at Vintage. Body checking is NOT

acceptable. Unexpected aggressive physical play is the #1 cause of injuries at

Vintage Hockey. Incidental contact does occur; do your best to minimize body

contact.

Protect our Goalies We have an exceptional stable of committed goalies. Do

your best to respect the goalies’ space on the ice. Avoid driving the net or having

any body contact with the goalie. Do NOT slash, poke at the goalie’s gloves or

into their pads to dislodge the puck.

Avoid shooting high, specifically anywhere near the goalie’s head.

Serious intentional incidents where our Code of Conduct is not adhered to

will be subject to immediate review by our Vintage Executive. Appropriate

action will follow, potentially resulting in a loss of hockey playing

privileges.
